Bearmach is proud to announce its sponsorship of the HELP for HEROES 4×4 EUROPEAN RALLY 2014.
2014 will be the Centenary of the start of World War One and the 70th Anniversary of D-Day itself.
In commemoration, the HELP for HEROES 4×4 EUROPEAN RALLY 2014 will follow the path and tell the story of the Allied Invasion through Europe. The Allied Forces landed in France early on D-Day morning, 6th June 1944. The liberation of Europe had commenced. That history will unfold as your journey progresses; some parts of the route will also include areas of the ‘Western Front’ of WWI.
The event will start at 11:30am on Saturday 14th June 2014 at Littlecote House Hotel in North Wiltshire. After using byways on Salisbury Plain they will then travel to Portsmouth to embark on the ferry over to France. This 2000 mile / 3200km expedition will encompass 7 European countries over a period of 13 days; concluding in Bavaria, Germany. This non-speed touring assembly, with a maximum entry of 45 teams, will be part military history tour (including museums etc), fun activities, part off-road driving and part club-type social, open to road-legal 4×4 vehicles. The whole focus is the raising of funds for the event’s chosen charity, HELP for HEROES.

Ian Colvin and John White from Bearmach Plymouth and Exeter shops attended the 24th Discovery Birthday Party. The event took place over the weekend from 11-14 October 2013, Ian and John joied in on the Saturday, unfortunately it was an overcast cold day but well worth attending with the Bearmach Discovery 3 and John Whites Discovery 2.
The club had around 48 Discovery’s arrive from all over the country from Discovery 1 to Discovery 4, many of the group had met up the day before and had been experiencing some of the more challenging Green lanes around Cornwall.
A good range of vehicles from the GWAC registrations to outright off-road vehicles with some Defender, Freelander and Range Rovers getting in on the action.
Bearmach’s attendance at the show went well with a lot of interest in our parts finder disc.
Many of the club members showed a lot of interest in Bearmach and our own branded parts both old and new customers alike.

It was great to see so many of our customers from all over the world.
Again a lot of love shown for the Hawkeye and Hawkeye Pro, with demonstrations running back to back, sorry if any of you missed out.
You can get the latest information about our Hawkeye and Hawkeye Pro diagnostic units from our downloads page.
We also saw some great examples of the wide variations of Land Rovers, everything from pristine Series vehicles to wacky off road concoctions.
The great weather this time was welcome, which was a nice change from the on/off showers of Billing, although the dust cloud from the arena didn’t always go down so well.

On 29th September 2013, Mark Waters (Retail shop) and Stuart Davies (Properties Maintenance) took part in a 50 mile charity Hospice to Hospice cycle ride around Surrey raising money for Shooting Star Chase Children’s Hospices who care for children with life-limiting illnesses who aren’t expected to reach their twenties.
Supported by Lucy Mackenzie-Brown and Leanne Davies, the ride started at 9:15 with lovely weather helping.
It went without incident or punctures, stopping at Shooting Star House, and Christopher’s hospices, all going well until reaching 40 miles, when the organisers had decided to put a nasty climb in the last 10 miles! (Unfair, but the ride down made it worthwhile!) We completed it in 4 hours 36 mins!
After raising £695.70 from friends, colleagues and customers, the saddles were surgically removed and both riders are now walking normally again.
A big thank you goes out to everyone who has already donated, and also to Graham Payne for allowing us to use the Bearmach Discovery, and helping with the cycling jackets.
If you haven’t already, you have until 31st October 2013 to donate at
or by sending a text saying SSCH50 £2 to 70070. Any donations will help, and if we can hit £1000, it would make a substantial difference to the children and families
