Bearmach are proud to sponsor team Gigglepin as they enter the ultimate desert off road race King of the Hammers.
4 February, 2013
Team Gigglepin will be the first ever UK team to enter this prestigious American event, they will also be the first to enter a Land Rover based vehicle.
The event itself contains ten days of testing leading to a one day final race. Team Gigglepin have won many events in their 12 year racing career - one of the highlights being the Croatia Trophy in which they were not only placed first but received an outstanding performance award for finishing with a lead of 4 and a half hours. The Croatia race was also the first event they entered with their current vehicle which the team at Gigglepin 4x4 built in 2011.
The king of the Hammers event will take place on Friday February the 8th.
Team Gigglepin are also going to take on the Smittybilt Every Man Challenge Race the day before the King of the Hammers event, this is another ‘hard as nails’ event designed for production style vehicles such as theirs. It is a brave decision as they could lose everything!
The Car will be driven by Jim Marsden and co-driver Wayne Smith both seasoned racers in their own right.
There has already been some setbacks on the road including loss of the gearbox on the 4th day.
The team progress will be recorded by professional journalist Paolo Baraldi who will be updating their progress daily. You can keep track of them at www.gigglepin4x4.net (site goes live Monday 28th)

Bearmach saves over £30000 with environmental improvements 19/11/12
19 November, 2012
Well aware of our waste management obligations, Bearmach have previously invested in a selection of equipment to manage cardboard, plastic and wood. All other materials were considered general waste and disposed of in large containers in the yard for weekly collection. Over 140 tonnes of waste were sent to landfill every year.
Mailorder4x4 ran an off-road day in partnership with Bearmach Exeter. 31/10/12.
1 November, 2012
The guys (Gary, Peter, Ben and Jim) at both Mailorder 4x4 and Bearmach Exeter decided to book a Pay and play off-road day at Bush farm, Pillaton, Saltash, for some of their customers to attend.
The Bearmach bubble was there along with the 35+ vehicles that took part. After a quick Safety briefing the vehicles descended on the off-road course. The Day was full of mud and just a little drama but fun was had by all. A great day out in the lovely Cornish country side.
By popular demand Mailorder 4x4 are hoping to repeat this again next year hopefully in the spring.
Bearmach Exeter are also planning to run an event in the near future.

Bearmach Brazil at the Fenajeep event
26 June, 2012
The Fenajeep event, is the National Jeep Festival, held this year for the nineteenth time in succession, in the city of Brusque, in the State of Santa Catarina; that is 450 miles from São Paulo.
In comparison with similar events in U.K. and Europe, it is relatively small, however it is the biggest off-road event in the whole of South America.
Bearmach Brasil have had a stand at this event, since 2002, upto 2008, however the work involved at such a distance did not produce any tangible results, but this year we were back, with this rather fantastic trailer body, which acts as a showpiece, driving a Land Rover over it, and as a mobile parts and accessory shop.
If you access our site http://bearmach.com.br/eventos/fenajeep-brusque-sc you will find more than 200 photos.
If you have a problem with language, there should be a Google facility, to help you.

Bob Harrison
