Restoration Of Princess
Margaret 's Series 3.
Brief History.
Landrover Owner magazine was looking for a challenge at its annual show in
Peterbourgh, The largest gathering of Landrovers in the world. After some
conversations with Landrover, a suitable vehicle was found that required
restoration. A vehicle used by Princess Margaret. Her son Viscount Linley and
therefore cousin to the queen had requested this vehicle to be restored so a
perfect opportunity was provided.

Jerry Thurston - Journalist and TV presenter
Series 3 Owners Club - Actually rebuilding the vehicle
LRO Magazine - Organising the event
Landrover and the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon - Providing the vehicle
Bearmach - Parts supply In order to complete restoration
AB Tools - Providing the workshop equipment necessary for the restoration.
AGC Whitaker - Painting the vehicle after the show, ready for the handover.
The Challenge.
Restore a Landrover Series 3 Over 2 Days at The Landrover Owner Show in
Peterbourgh. The Landrover should be in a condition to be driven round the
main arena at the end of the weekend.
